Evolve Tampa Bay was created from a belief that Black same-gender loving men deserve more than inclusion—we deserve spaces shaped around our identities, experiences, voices, and well-being.
Through community-centered leadership and culturally affirming initiatives, Evolve is helping build a Tampa Bay where every member of our community has the connection, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive.
OUR STORY
Created Because Our Community Deserved More
Evolve Tampa Bay began in response to a clear community need: Black same-gender loving men needed spaces where they could connect, find support, and experience belonging without separating or minimizing any part of who they are.
What began as a non-profit organization to simply provide safe spaces for Black same-gender loving men grew into something greater—a community where connection could lead to support, shared experiences could inspire growth, and collective voices could help create meaningful change. As the needs of the community evolved, so did the ways Evolve showed up.
Today, Evolve continues to build on that foundation through culturally affirming programs, trusted resources, advocacy, and experiences that bring people together. Although the organization continues to grow, its purpose remains rooted in the same belief: Black same-gender loving men deserve spaces where they can feel safe, seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Through intentional programming, meaningful partnerships, and community-centered advocacy, that vision continues to shape how Evolve serves Tampa Bay and moves the community forward.
Antonio Miles
Founder & Executive Director
Antonio Miles leads Evolve Tampa Bay with a passion for building community, creating meaningful connections, and expanding opportunities for Black same-gender-loving men to be seen, supported, and empowered.
His leadership is grounded in the belief that lasting impact happens when community members have spaces created with their experiences, wellness, and potential in mind. Through Evolve, Antonio continues to cultivate partnerships, programs, and experiences that strengthen community while creating pathways for connection, growth, and collective impact.
